Not a drag lift in sight! We only have new, snowboard friendly, high speed chair lifts to whisk you to the top for the next run. Boarders who are seeking the thrills of Big air and Rails, will be stoked to find our incredible snow parks, hosting a multitude of big air jumps, rails and boxes along with some huge spines for the bravest of freestylers, and with each resort boasting two snow parks each, its impossible to get bored!

The Pyrenees - Perfect for Learning to Board

Our Local resorts have invested heavily in their nursery slopes so if you have always fancied giving snowboarding a try, then you couldn’t find a better place. All the beginner areas are equipped with rolling carpets, making it very easy for novices to get up the slopes, as opposed to the old days of grappling with a rope, or worse still the dreaded T bar!

Combined with being a ski Instructor, James your host, is also a qualified snowboard instructor and is available for private lessons and guiding, on or off the Piste.

James works closely with a local snowboard shop who offer Ancienne Poste guests the latest equipment at the best prices. For those wishing to explore the off piste with James, split boards are available to rent, giving you unlimited access to some of the most incredible back country boarding available.

Perfection in the Pyrenees

We enjoyed the perfect Pyrenees summer vacation at L'Ancienne Poste thanks to James' genuine hospitality, beautiful accommodations, delicious food, ever-flowing wine and Bode. The inn was an excellent home base for exploring mountain hikes and local villages.

Superb!!

Just amazing! Superb chalet with beautiful main room complete with roaring wood burner! Incredible hosts with superb food offering. James, the owner is the most hospitable and friendly guy you could wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble and you will immediately feel at home.

Perfection

James and his team make you welcome from the outset. Great food and hospitality all round. From the immaculately cleaned wood-burner to the eagle-eyed team who can spot your glass needs a top up from 100 yards, you couldn't ask for more from your mountain break! I'll certainly be returning.

Holiday of a lifetime!

Our family had always dreamed of travelling from Australia to share a white Christmas and while we were confident we would have a lovely time in Avajan, none of us could have begun to imagine what a magical experience we would have staying with James at L'Ancienne Poste.
